Help Entrepreneurs and Volunteer as a Business Mentor

Project Description:
Do you have business skills or experience to share with others? Become a business mentor and help entrepreneurs rebuild the economy. MicroMentor.org is an online community of entrepreneurs and business mentors. Mentors join, search for entrepreneurs to assist online, and once connected, start providing critical business knowledge. This is an extremely flexible volunteer opportunity because you set the terms of the relationship. Follow: http://www.micromentor.org/mentor/mentor-an-entrepreneur?utm_source=smartvolunteer&utm_medium=test1&utm_campaign=mentorrecruitment
Skills Category:
Mentoring
Additional Skills Required:
Some entrepreneurs need a sounding board or general industry advice, while others are looking for targeted technical advising. Connected entrepreneurs on average spend 16 hours with their mentors and grow their revenue by 75%. In addition to the value of giving back, mentors also develop new skills as a teacher and coach. Conversations with entrepreneurs expose mentors to new industries, challenges, experiences and ideas. Our mentors report that they feel like they get much more than they give. Put your business skills to good use and help an entrepreneur today. Join at MicroMentor.org:https://www.micromentor.org/users/add/expert_profiles/?utm_source=smartvolunteer&utm_medium=test1&utm_campaign=mentorrecruitment Most needed areas of assistance include Getting Started & Business Planning, Marketing Strategy, Business Development, and Financial Planning. Mother-owned Business Thrives With Help of Mentor With a background in e-commerce and strategic business consulting, Peter Adams had exactly the right skill-set to help Jerilyn Winstead succeed. "Aquatails was a lot smaller than clients I have worked with in the past, though even with small organizations you can do a strategic plan," Peter reflects, "You need to define who you are, where you want to go, and how you're going to get there." Today, Jerilyn sells her mermaid tails worldwide and is in the process of starting her second bbusiness. "It's really rewarding with someone like Jerilyn," reflects Peter, "She changed a lot over the course of that first year."
